Teach Ocean Science
Teach Ocean Science's section on coral reefs offers background on the economic, cultural, and scientific values of coral reefs.  The simple explainations are clear and provide a good foundational material for those unfamiliar with coral reefs.  A good deal of emphasis is placed on the affect of climate change and why it is an issue.
